Elite Sprint Training Camp

Greater Vancouver Orienteering Club (GVOC)

If you are looking for an intense weekend of sprint format orienteering sessions, please join us in Vancouver Feb 24-26, 2006. New maps and updated maps have been prepared for your training pleasure.

Evening sessions will feature map making, course planning and training for sprint orienteering. Special guest Olav Nipen is flying in from Norway to give a

Norgwegian perspective on sprint orienteering and will show some map making examples for a map to be used by the Norwegian championships.

 
Friday Feb 24
5-7pm: Two sprints at UBC (Robin Foubister)
Evening: Dinner and talks at Oram's
 
Saturday Feb 25
9-10: South Surrey Track - running technique (Maureen)
10:30-13:00: Softball City and Watershed (Ted)
13:00-14:00: Lunch (de St. Croix's)
14:00-16:00: Minoru and Iona Island (Thomas and volunteer)
Evening: Dinner and talks at Oram's
 
Sunday Feb 26
10:00-12:00: Pacific Spirit Event (Louise
and Dan) 
12:00-13:00: Lunch 
13:00+: Jericho Beach Park (Meghan)

$35 for everything.
