This year’s Sass Peepre National Junior Training camp will be more informal than normal. It will be held in the area of Logan Lake, SW of Kamloops, BC, just before the Canadian Orienteering Championship events in Williams Lake, BC. The camp will be run as a “day camp”; accommodation and meals will NOT be provided. We will encourage participants to camp with their families (or designated adults), so that some socializing will occur. We hope all you enthusiastic juniors will come back to renew old friendships, spike more controls and learn new ways to exhaust your coaches.
Start: Monday, July 11, noon
End: Wednesday, July 13, about 5pm
Location: Lac Le Jeune Provincial Park Campground
37 km south of Kamloops, 47 km north of Merritt, off Highway 5
The campground is on Lac Le Jeune (good swimming) and is on an orienteering map. It is at a considerably higher elevation than Kamloops, which means it’ll be cooler.
