Sage's first event of 1999 was the Ski-O. Thirty participants enjoyed a great day of skiing on the trails that offered something for everyone. It was held Sunday, March 7th at the Stake Lake ski trails under near perfect conditions. Special thanks to the Overlander Ski Club and their volunteers for the use of the day lodge and the great trails. 40 controls, orienteering flags, were spread out over much of the Stake Lake trail system. The participants were given a map with the points marked and had time to "plan" their route prior to starting. Competitors were allowed three hours to get as many points as possible (or as many as they wished), punch their control cards and return to the start. Penalty points were assessed for those over the time allowed. Thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the day with us! Allan Juniors (under 18)
