The OBC Athlete Financial Support program is designed to encourage junior and elite competitive orienteers to participate in major O competitions both within North America and elsewhere (e.g. JWOC) by providing a subsidy toward their registration and travel costs. Club presidents and coaches should make both their juniors and their elite athletes aware of this program. Applications are accepted throughout the year, but requests for support for expenses incurred in the preceding year must be received by March 15 in order to meet the March 31 fiscal end-of-year.

Note that it is also possible to apply in advance for anticipated competition/training costs associated with upcoming events.
